MISSION & OBJECTIVE
Social life is constantly changing and being defined by cultural exchange and economic interaction throughout the world. The LMI-IFF will explore the social, economic, and political aspects of “Cultural Diversity” through the interaction of the African Diaspora in a Global society.

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
The LMI-IFF will be a showcase of quality films and other media directed towards enabling a diverse audience to appreciate independent films from a diverse selection of international filmmakers. This festival recognizes excellence in the appreciation of cultural diversity and sensitivity over the everyday fare of media choices in the presenting how film explores and celebrates International Cultural Diversity, and provides an exhibition forum for new and existing voices that represent these rich and diverse cultures.
ORGANIZERS
Ken Roy (Producer) ; Tim Reid (Festival Director)

SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION
Programming decisions are made by our selection committee. If accepted, we will notify filmmakers by email by the end of September. We do not pay rental/exhibition fees for submitted work that is then shown at the festival.

The festival jury will present awards to films and videos selected as best in these categories: Feature Film, Documentary, Animation, and Short Film. Additionally, there will be an audience selected “Best of Festival” award for the best project shown during the festival.

Due to the large number of entry media to be received, submission materials and videos will be returned at filmmaker expense, if requested. For specific requests, please contact submissions@lmi-iff.org.

TRAILERS
If a submission is accepted for screening, we will also require submission of a trailer by the 15th of October to be used for publicity for the Festival.
